Inserting Cracked Games to Your iPod!

Well, it's as the title says. I don't know if this will work in either iPhone 2G/3G/3GS, but at least it works for iPod Touch 3G, OS 3.12.



First Step: Jailbreaking

For OS 3.12 (and all other firmwares), you need to jailbreak it first. You can use blackra1n. The rest are self-explaining, but I'll post the steps here anyway:

1. Download blackra1n from here.
2. Terminate processes related to iTunes (iTunes.exe and iTunesHelper.exe)
3. Connect your iPod to your computer.
4. Run blackra1n.
5. Click on "make it ra1n", don't panic if it doesn't work for the first time; Exit the program and run it again.
6. When it succeed, there will be a confirmation to restart your iPod. Click OK and your iPod will restart.
7. Then you will see a picture (the same) again on your iPod. Exit blackra1n and run it again once. When the confirmation to restart your iPod appears, your iPod will return to home screen.
8. Congrats, you have succeed in jailbreaking your iPod!

NB: For OS 3.12, iPod jailbreaking is still in tethered mode. It means if you let your iPod battery out or shut down or restart, you have to restart jailbreaking again.


Second Step: Inserting the Cracked Game

OK, you have finished jailbreaking your iPod. Now is the real deal, inserting the game!

1. Download "Cydia" from "blackra1n" (it should appear in your home screen when you successfully jaibreak your iPod)(Need Wi-Fi).
2. Download "afc2add" from "Cydia" (Need Wi-Fi).
3. Download this app from Mr. Rizwan (thanks Mr. Rizwan!).
4. Extract the files, then run “Patch_App31.bat” while connecting your iPod to the computer.
5. Go search cracked .ipa files in the internet and open it with iTunes (Don't ask me where to get it, just google).
6. Sync with your iPod and go games like mad!

DW Strikeforce First Impression

And I just got the game today. What. The. Heck.






Yes, when I saw the trailer I know something wrong is happening. They're flying! They're evolving! They're breaking rocks! They're come to life! (okay I know this is impossible)

Eager to play it, I started playing right away. And hey, seeing the opening it's the same as the trailer. Then to the main menu, I found an interesting thing here. No free mode. Only new game, continue, and option. Phew.

Went into new game. Here I saw roster of Dynasty Warriors 6. Quite good. Plus, each character has two weapons for them, meaning they can change weapons during the stage. Cool!

Then we got to city view. Here we can enhance our character and their weapons, like upgrading, giving elements, giving jewels, skills, shopping for items, and many more. Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce (or Sangokoku Musou Multi-Raid in Japanese), giving you quest system aside from story battle, which can you complete for materials in upgrading.

Making it to battle, I'm suprised. YES, I'M SUPRISED. THE CHARACTER CAN FLY. HOORAY, NOW I CAN FLY LIKR A BIRD AND HACK INTO MY FOES! Upsie, no. BECAUSE YOUR FOES CAN FLY TOO. The battle mainly fighting in the air now and you can evolve (read: rush mode) by pressing triangle and circle at the same time when your musou is full. In rush mode,your character has faster attack speed and power, thus depleting your musou. But don't worry, as your musou replenish as you defeat your foes. Interesting.

The Myth of Gilgamesh

Another assignment. This time is a myth for my English assignment. I feel like sharing here for those who are in need to find a myth, but don't forget to comment ^_^.



On the one hand there are the gods, and on the other are humans: Breeds apart; but when they breed together all you get is trouble; big trouble! Gilgamesh, King of Uruk, was two-thirds God and one-third human, and 100% trouble. 18 feet tall, a seething tower of testosterone. None of the women were safe from him and all men were his slaves. The humans would turn their backs on the gods if they did not tame Gilgamesh so the gods created the King a massive playmate, Enkidu; part-man, part-beast. The two giants bonded in combat and then went off on noble adventures leaving the people of Uruk to get on with their lives.

Tragedy struck when Enkidu died and Gilgamesh experienced grief for the first time. Not just grief and loss, but also the realisation that one day death would come to him too.

What happened to Gilgamesh after that? Gilgamesh could not come to terms with his friend’s death or the looming destiny of his own final fate: He set off on a quest to find eternal life.

He walked to the end of the earth, to the dark mountain where the sun rose and set. He walked further through absolute emptiness between this world and the next; the gods’ domain. He needed to find Ut’napishtim and his wife, the couple who had saved the world from the great flood and had been rewarded with life eternal; he needed to find the secret. After facing the temptations of the gods and navigating the sea of death he found them. Ut’napishtim said he would give up his secret if Gilgamesh could conquer the ‘little death’ of sleep, but he was so, so tired. Gilgamesh was about to return defeated when Ut’napishtim’s wife pleaded with her husband – not eternal life, but what about rejuvenation?

You know what? Ut’napishtim told his boatman Urshanabi to take Gilgamesh to the place at the centre of the oceans, to hold the rope and send Gilgamesh diving down to fetch the thorny plant ‘the old man becomes young’. Gilgamesh had the plant in his hand; all he had to do was return home. But half-way across the desert an oasis lured him to take his rest. As he slept a serpent smelt the magic plant and ate it from his hand. Gilgamesh awoke to see the serpent slithering away, leaving its old dry skin discarded on the sand.

The plant was gone but the realisation had come, ‘it is not for man to live forever’.



Well, it's another version of Gilgamesh's myth. Gilgamesh has many versions, but I like this one.

Killing the Zombies...First Impression

I was searching through my disc case and found one game I rarely touch...Resident Evil 5 (orBiohazard 5 for EU/JP market). I was frustrated at one point in the game, chapter 1-1 (laugh is allowed ^_^) since even after I played co-op with my sister one of us always dead. After some experience I found out that we have to run away not to kill the zombies!!! WTH!!! And that is after some remembrance that Resident Evil is a Survival game, not a beat-em-up :p.

Telkom Speedy vs Telkom Flash vs Telkomnet Instan!

All this time, I only subscribed into one ISP, Telkom. Though I used their three products, Telkomnet Instan, Telkomsel Flash, and now Telkom Speedy. Those three had their own pros and cons which I will tell here (speedtests uses server in Alaska so people would know the real speed than using local server)(of course this is my personal opinion based on my personal experience, so feel free to add some comments):

One Obstacle Passed...

The mid semester test ends today. With a quite easy (I think) subject as the last, I really enjoyed the last day. One thing I remembered is Aam, who always stay cool when answering my questions. Like when I asked the answer for question 38, Aam looked at me slowly, returning to his answer sheet, while mantaining his sit posture, looked back to me, and show me his finger. One...two...three...and...four. It's D! Man, Aam you were really cool back there xD.

Aksara Jawa is Difficult? No!

Today I have undergone a test. It was Javanese!!! And it's freakin' difficult!!! I didn't have basic Javanese skills to start with so I went hibernate quickly. With blank minds. But a thanks to "that person" behind me who gave me answer from number 1 to 40 (ROFL 40 numbers). Thank you!!! You saved my life!!! (marks?)

Narcissu 3!?

When I was loiteringly browsed blogs, I found out about Narcissu 3 from a blog within my friend's blog (confused? Actually I'm too :-p). Narcissu 3's subtitle is Die Dritte Welt which also means the Third World. In this installment Goto-P (who writes scenario for the older Narcissus) won't write the scenario. Also noticably is the character designs, which different from the older installments.

-a fairy tale- Went English!

As we had known, nnl started translation for ef -a fairy tale of the two- 2 years ago. It had ran well, with about 16% translated in the first 2 weeks (IIRC). But not long after, nnl confirmed that the project died, since the staffs were busy with their own life.

And just a few days ago, I crossed into a translated ef -the first tale- executable! It seems that nnl secretly working underground (or maybe just I didn't know) and just released the translation few weeks ago. Nevertheless, the patch bring a hope that ef would be translated in near future.

The patch only contains chapter one (Miyako's route). But it's a standalone executable, means people without the original ef copy, could play the game. I'd still recommend you to try it though (since it's Makoto Shinkai drawing!).

Live In

Ugh, at last I returned from Live In, a project of my academy, where the students were sent to village and live with families there to experience villagers life (in Desa Seser, Pacisan, Sukorejo, Kendal) for 4 days. Actually I was so hesistant to join that I even call that project "Dillema of March". And yes, it really was a dillema. But it was about whether I would miss the village atmosphere when I come back to Semarang. But weeellll, after all my love for games is still bigger, so when I got in touch with my games again I get back with my routines :p.
