暁の護衛 Trilogy Review

Well, as I have said in the previous post about レミニセンス, I would write another post about 暁の護衛. I have no plan actually at the beginning, it's just the hype about レミニセンス made me remember the hype about 暁の護衛 xD. 暁の護衛 actually is a trilogy, is in the process of Englishization by one of the translation team out there, and on top of that is godlike. It stands distinguishable from typical visual novels, because story of the trilogy mainly focuses on the male protagonist. Heroine routes serve to explain more about the male protagonist (either it is his 'hidden' hobby, favorite books, favorite music, etc. (lol)). Afterwards, the same formula is used by グリザイア trilogy, in which the story mainly revolves on the protagonist. How awesome is this trilogy actually? Tune in my review folks xD

Oncoming Apocalypse: レミニセンス

Hey folks! Long time no post, huh? Sorry for that, things have been busy in real life. I'm now starting my thesis, also I have my organisation thing and studies for end term exam, plus I have to plan for my journey to Paris :p. Do you folks have any recommendation on what to visit in Paris? Help me by commenting in this post :p. Anyway, are you ready for the upcoming Visual Novel Barrage end of this month? I am not wakakakaka. But hey, I just discovered a hidden jewel! I have a premonition that this title is going to be a big thing. For one, this title seems to carry the same spiritual as 暁の護衛, one of my favorite visual novel ever. Most importantly, the protagonist seems to be the same type as 暁の護衛's that is badass (a punk that quickly resort to violence, never listens to others, but obsessed in reading book in his free time (lol combination)). Apparently the レミニセンス staffs are the same as 暁の護衛's, so this going to be awesome. How will this title fare? Let's first see some information about this title :D

Sengoku Rance Review

Hallelujaaaaah!

It was a great adventure! After playing for hours (I think it was 20 hour-ish), I beat Sengoku Rance true route just minutes ago. It was a great game, just at the right difficulty with a very rewarding outcome at the end, great story, and very entertaining. A totally must play!

Sengoku Rance has been translated to English, so non-native Japanese speakers enjoy ^o^

Hapy Maher Review

At last, I finished reading through Hapy Maher, the newest visual novel from PurpleSoftware. If folks remember from my previous post, PurpleSoftware used to be a powerhouse in visual novels (and also, one of the oldest creator that still survived until today!) before seeing a decline in their quality lately. Their later works, one being Mirai Nostalgia, is their reversal to their previous quality and Hapy Maher does justice to their hype. One of the best visual novel I have read lately.

Figures. Mainly I write blog as a side job from reading papers. Since I have grown sore from reading so many papers (and STILL many ahead), here I write again another post in the meanwhile folks ^_^

Well, talking again about visual novels, my all time favorite company is オーガスト. Some old readers might remember that フォーチュンアテリアル is my favorite title ever released and this one is another work from the same company. Coming with a different formula from August past releases such as 穢翼のユースティア, フォーチュンアテリアル, and 夜明け前より瑠璃色な, by returning the theme similar to their roots (月は東に日は西に ～Operation Sanctuary～ era), how would this visual novel fares to their superb predecessores?

Natsuzora no Perseus ~The Brave under the Summer Sky~ Impression

Today was my free day and so I decided to spend some of it by reading a visual novel out of the shelf. My choice happens to be Natsuzora no Perseus ~the Brave under the Summer Sky~. Made by minori a year ago, I have touch the visual novel just for a while a month ago IIRC before suspend continuing it since I was focusing on completing Rewrite at the moment. Not a while ago I browsed the internet and heard good things about this game. Apparently it won the Best Graphic of 2012 by Getchu (a widely known visual novel database, red.) and that nailed my interest in reading this title.

Finished Rewrite! and Review

At long last, I have finished reading Rewrite. It was really long, took me about 4 days of stop and continue reading. The work was perfect though. It always hook me up to continue reading not long after I stop and after I start it took me hours before I can stop reading. Another masterpiece from Key.

The Grandiose of Visual Novel Opening

Hi readers! After AFK for weeks, I would like to tell you all one of my favorite time wasting on my free time. It is quite unusual I believe; watching visual novel openings. Mainly I watch them to analyse the effects and music people are using in constructing them which then I try to implement them to hone my movie editing skill. Lately things has been becoming more addicting as more amusing and entertaining openings, with either incredibly good effects or nice music or even odd-but-strikingly-funny sequences, come arise. I believe it would be more feasible to show you, so here is my list of recommended openings!

ましろ色シンフォニー, an eroge that I finished completely after a long time (the latest was 終わりなき夏 永遠なる音律, though I skipped on some dialogues). What made me hooked on the game so that I played through all the routes? Let's see!

OK that's the latest work from minori. And the opening is just like their previous works, &^(@)&#)@&) awesome! Cant wait for the 18th September! (though maybe there will be mid-term exam just right at the moment -_-").

ナツユメナギサ First Impression

Tried ナツユメナギサ by SAGAPLANETS and has past the prologue. Must say it has a promising premise. Well this (could) be the last AVG I play before starting the personal AVG ban starting from 21 August (okay folks, you know why ^_^).

Just recently I got my hands on 終わりなき夏永遠なる音律, so I'd share my first impression on this. I'll try to be objective, but since I fast forwarded through the story (or more to don't understand Japanese :-p) maybe I'm misunderstanding some things, so feel free to correct me.
