At long last, I have finished reading Rewrite. It was really long, took me about 4 days of stop and continue reading. The work was perfect though. It always hook me up to continue reading not long after I stop and after I start it took me hours before I can stop reading. Another masterpiece from Key.

Perspective of this visual novel is taken from Tennouji Kotarou, a frivolous high school student. His days are spent normally with his live rotating around his only two friends, Kotori and Yoshino, In times he thinks whether his life is doomed to be that boring and wishes for if it can be rewritten. Some day, he gets attacked by occult phenomena, such as ghost, UMA, or you name it, that makes him very afraid. In order to counter these phenomenas, he then goes to the occult research club and tries to establish a research to also uncover the mysteries. Since then, his life turns to be more interesting,,,but is it too interesting now?
Sorry for the cheesy introduction ---". Trying to describe it nicely but it turns out to be like a narration of an unsold teen novel lol
Anyways, that is the premise of the common route of Rewrite. The days covers Kotarou efforts in uncovering those secrets, getting more friends (albeit some are ridiculously (funny), such as dog on the side of the road), fooling around, or got fooled around. The first half is full of humour and it is pretty alluring to keep you reading.
After the first half, specific route starts. The second half brings the typical Key-esque feel, emotional and dramatic. Even so, the sense of humour is still lingers here. Most of the second half stories were touching. Some of them are quite forced, but I must say it is quite good.
Now, onto the usual scores:
Story 9.0/10
Some stories are well done. The grande is very good, nerve wrecking, and has many suprising elements. Some stories are tearjerker (I admit. Warning for all tearjerker!). Some stories are 'only' quite good though. I don't see any extraordinary there.

Graphics 8.0/10
The backgrounds are well done. CGs are beautiful. Characters' design fit their personality well. Unfortunately, some event CGs look weird when drawn in an obscure angle (I think). There are quite a lot of them

Sound 10/10
Hands down. I admit Key musicians are the best when it comes onto music department. Every BGMs are memorable, opening and ending songs are very catchy. Some songs are very emotional, I can see some people get in tears just by hearing the songs. Really--every aspect, from the instrumentals and singers, sung very superbly.

Personal Opinion 9.0/10 --> 18/20 (x2)

Overall 45/50 (90%)
A masterpiece from Key. Great materials and superb musics. Beautiful graphics also. Most recommended for the humour. On top of that, an English patch is available!
