Rengasdengklok Incident (Very Incomplete Version)

This is a version of Rengasdengklok Incident which I used on my History assignment. Feel free to use if you want, but don't forget to at least comment ^_^. Since my assignment is in English so I'll just post the English (too lazy to retranslate).

Ir. Soekarno and Drs. Mohammad Hatta were “kidnapped” to a village, north of Karawang by the young figures. That village is called Rengasdengklok. This incident was happened on August 16th 1945 at 04.30 WIB. The young figures choose Rengsdengklok because They think Rengasdengklok is the safest place and also far from Jakarta. At that time, Ir. Soekarno and Drs. Mohammad Hatta, as the old figures, wished the proclamation to pass through the Preparation of Indonesia’s Independence Committee (PPKI). Because of that reason, the young figures, such as Chairul Saleh and friends were planning to capture those old figures to Rengasdengklok. They did that because they did not quite agree if the proclamation must pass through PPKI because PPKI was made by Japan. Before Rengasdengklok incident, the young figures had been done a negotiation in one of Bacteriology Institute in Pegangsaan Timur, Jakarta on August 15th. In that negotiation, the young figures were deciding to make a proclamation without any intervention from Japan, including PPKI. After this negotiation, they asked the old figures to accept this opinion but unfortunately, the old figures (Ir. Soekarno) reject the opinion. The reason is that the old figures feel that they were responsible of running PPKI until procalamation was declared. Not satisfied with the answer, the young figures were insisting the old figures to proclamate the independence of Indonesia quickly because if the proclamation was not declared quickly, they feared that there will be a riot with the people that want a proclamation without any delay.
Face the pressure, Ir. Soekarno and Drs. Moh. Hatta still did not change their belief. Did not hear any news from Jakarta, Jusuf Kunto (one of the young figures) went to Jakarta to negotiate. But in Jakarta, Kunto only could meet Mr. Achmad Soebardjo. Then, Kunto and Mbah Sudiro departed for Rengasdengklok to pick Soekarno, Hatta, Fatmawati, and Guntur. They arrived in Jakarta on August 16th 1945. In the next day, which is August 17th 1945, Soekarno - Hatta declared the independence of Indonesia.

Hope that helps!
