So, I have an assignment from my class to say about differences between two countries. I figured that I would talk about Indonesia and the Netherlands, since it would engage the interest most (I am from Indonesia so it will be easy for me to talk about it, I suppose :p). Since all of the students are now in the Netherlands, bringing a subject about it will incite their curiosity. I figured that I would take dancing for one of the subtle difference I would talk about. So as I am researching about Dutch dances, I stumbled open some videos...and they are amazingly beautiful.

Rotterdam: Internet Speed

Hi again folks! Now I will start a new series of posts. As I have moved to Rotterdam recently I think it would be informative to post little things about this town. At least hopefully it would be helpful for those who are planning to go here (I'm looking at you, other F*B U*M students!).

This first post will be covering one of my interest: The internet speed. Rotterdam is a pretty quiet town, so you can expect to spend a lot of your time in your room. Not also that you can expect to have a small amount of job requiring you to work remotely! Almost everything is digitalized here, from ordering food even to shopping for groceries (later, will be delivered to your home). School assignments even are mainly posted and to be worked on the internet. Also, if you are getting homesick, you can use internet to watch your local TV, internet, or video call to your wife or husband. A neat jack of all trades, huh?

Spanyol: Kisah H-1

Malam sebelum keberangkatanku ke Spanyol bukanlah malam tertenang. Hari itu aku ada kuliah dari siang hingga sore hari dan ekstrakurikuler bahasa Belanda yang melahap seluruh waktuku sore hari itu. Selain itu, aku juga memiliki agenda rapat PPI untuk pertama kali. Benar-benar hari yang sibuk!

Friday, 24 August 2012 (first day in Rotterdam)

My day started just as usual. Nothing has much changed except for the fact it would be my last day in Indonesia before flying away to Amsterdam (after Kuala Lumpur, of course. Sorry I temporarily forgot about you, mate :P). People around me acted as usual, which made me feel just like as usual lol. Suprisingly (hopefully for you, readers ;-)) I have not finished packing my luggage yet! I have a lot to bring, actually with most of them are not essential but I need it for self satisfaction lol. For days after, they are some poems (in Bahasa Indonesia), which I will left untranslated to keep their artistic value intact. In my opinion, they are so beautiful that you should be encouraged learning Bahasa Indonesia to understand them all xD. Enjoy!
