Final Exam Ended! Last Two in Indonesia!

At last the test has ended ^o^. As it is expected to be the last two in Indonesia (maybe :d) that I will done, there is a mixed up feeling inside the author.

After ending the test with flying color (I hope :p), I was wondering to write a post about it. So, here is the tests folks, and how the tests were for me!!

Monday:
Business and Profession Ethics: It is a writing class :p. Fully subjective, I think I would fare well in this test.
Econometrics: Now here is one objective. Though the questions were not all that hard, I did get some quite hard though. Not sure I will get an A+ for this time, because I was so lost in telling the relation between the answer and the effect -_-"

Tuesday:
Financial Management: Easy to moderate. It is easy because the question was not all that implicit and the number are pretty much explicit, but moderate for the formulas to logically think through -_-".

Wednesday:
Auditing: Simple, just use logical thinking and you would go through xD. Though this subject is highly objective, so even though you can go through with logical thinking I won't assure you about the scores -_-"

Thursday:
Managerial Accounting: Piece of cake :d

Friday:
Advanced Financial Accounting. OH GOSH. THERE GO AN ADVANCED DIFFICULTY. ONLY FOR NAME? I THINK NOT -_-"

Now the test has ended, I have to seek appointments to keep myself busy. Traveling around? Maybe :d. If I do that I will make sure to post in this blog so keep on reading folks! xD

What's new: Mac OSX Lion! And Back-Forward Multi Gestures Tip!

So I have been wondering about this mysterious new OS for a while, because many people reported errors after installing this OS. After hearing that Apple have launched a new version of it that is relatively free from errors (version 10.7.2), I tried it and it works folks!!!

For users of earlier version of OSX (before Lion) would probably notice the changes in trackpad usage. It is new additions of "Multi Gestures", the deadly killer weapon of all OS from Apple. Really, it is a killer weapon. Even experiencing Windows (via BootCamp) using Mac with the killer "Multi Gestures" is three times as fun in my opinion (and I can hide my eroge playing with one swoop xD)

By the way, go to the tips. For new users, they might experience that there are no "Multi Gestures" for back and forward in applications. This might be a hassle for someone, I totally sure (because I did xD). How to activate "Multi Gestures" for back and forth. This is the steps:

1. Open "Applications" folder (or LaunchPad, it is by pinching close your three finger and thumb into the center of trackpad)

2, Click on "System Preferences"

3. Open "Trackpad" option

4. Click on the tab "More Gestures"

5. See the drop down menu at "Swipe Between Pages"? Click on it

6. Click on the option "Swipe with two or three fingers"

7. Do swipe with two fingers and yada yada

*Actually the options of doing it with two or three fingers making you have more gestures to do. By two fingers you are backing and forwarding your windows and by three fingers you are changing your desktop windows. Tips: Extremely Excellent for hiding playing eroge! xD

That's all folks! Now let me go back to playing Katawa Shoujo. It is cool! Highly recommend for you all to play it, no, sorry, highly order for you all to play it xD

Lump of Sugar: The Beginning and End of 2010

Hello folks! Long time for me not to post something.

Well, that is mostly because of (course) business in real world, and I have no time to write on the blog haha. By the way, I recently wrote about how I stopped playing visual novels, but thankful to my friend that have pledged loyalty to eroges, KDY, I was talked through to playing eroge again. Noooo!!!

And the eroges got the privillege to be played by me was not from one company; Lump of Sugar! Famous for their unique style of writing and Kicco sung songs, they quickly climbed the wall of eroge top companies evem though they were just being established back then in 2005. And to my suprise also, the titles I played from Lump of Sugar happened to be their first game and (recently) latest game! Why this is good? By playing both the earliest and the latest, I can easily make comparisons and development of Lump of Sugar throughout the years. So, keep in tune, my fans (as there is ^_^)!

Am I someone who easily fall in dramatic story? I guess so -_-". The story is very dramatic, especially in one of the heroine. Really, I suggest you all to enjoy all the stories though, because they are good.

Graphics 8/10
Dated 6 years ago, the graphics still shine among other jewels. It is not that old, and I find design of the characters and scenes to be likeableee

Sound 8/10
I must say giving this score of 8/10 is very hard because the OPENING AND ENDING SONG ARE GODLY. But the background music is not too, so with breaking my heart I give this sound sector a score of 8 sorryyy

Personal Opinion 9/10 ---> 18/20 (x2)
A memorable title by Lump of Sugar back then in 2005, excels both in scenarion (many twists and surprises!) and sound (OPENING AND ENDING I SAY IT), it is highly recommended xD

Overall 44/50 (88%)
A masterpiece from Lump of Sugar. Arguably the best title from them, although it is the first novel to be made by them. Top recommended for first time readers and beware because it has extreme potential to make you addicted to visual novels xD

While the premise is good, it fails in the execution >_<. The military action is not there, the actions are fastly over, and the coolness I expect to be there is gone -_-". I liked the main grand story though

Graphics 10/10
I have to admit, the graphics are one of the best! I have no complain with the chars designs or background whatsoever, because it is so beautiful :d

Sound 9/10
Nice background music :d. Memorable and so beautiful, you can hear the music by yourself (even I have the original soundtrack :d). ONCE AGAIN, THE OPENING AND ENDING SONG ARE GODLY

Personal Opinion 6/10 ---> 12/20 (x2)
As I'm a reader more than an artist, the godly graphics and sounds do not incite my interest enough -_-". I often have to force myself to start reading, because there are little twists in the story

Overall 37/50 (74%)
The game have potential to be better, but it is passed. Though so, I recommend you all to play it and hear the soundtrack :d

Hi, long time no write, folks! For you who have been always stay in tune with my blog, I'm very sorry to not keep you updated about my blogging life. Life has been so busy from last year (second year of my university life) as I resigned from extracurricullars and signed for paid jobs (professional life? :sunglass). Well actually though I'm busier, I can still make time for blogging, but one of my comrade in blogging who almost always comments about most of my posts gone inactive for about two years and switched her blog to private view only plus she didn't invite me! That's a shock, really ＿|￣|○

For some who also have been with me from my starting post might also realized that my writing has somewhat calmer, more structured, and indifferent, quite contradictory from how I was in the past. This is a persona I chose to be in professional world, and of course I still have my former self that is ruthless, spiritful, and impatient, especially if the talks is regarding Japan (￣^￣)ゞ

A Shine in Dark Mahou Shoujo: Madoka

Puella Magi Madoka Magica was not to be unsuprising, it was a HUGE suprisement.

As I restarted to watch anime in 2011, the spring animes came into target. So I started to watch more popular animes the season and Madoka was out the scene (blame the lol* graphic -_-"). I was not into that, but...BLAME THE INTERNET THAT TOOK ME INTO WATCHING THIS ANIME >_<

So I started to watch the first episode...it was alright. The second...a typical magical anime? The third episode...what the GODDAMN hell is this. Then I started to watch subsequently until the final. The final was kind of not problem-solving and left conflicts open to viewer to solve though.

I still remember the dramatic more than one month delay of the final two episodes (and I meant to make this post really DRAMATIC to celebrate the delay, I MEAN REALLY DRAMATIC. Once again BLAME for my laziness not to finish this post ASAP that the dramatic is sucked away completely >_<). I was like rolling the floor waiting all the time for the publishment (but thanks to my loyal portable gaming device that I made it through wakakaka xD)

And in the end, I know you are waiting for this folks xD. This is my review of Madoka!

Well yeah, I'm almost completely satisfied with Madoka, if not for the rushed latest episodes. Episode 7 was really rushed as...you know if you see. It's just the end was rushed. Did you realise that I used the word rushed so many? I know I did. And this because I'm rushing the deadline haha

Madoka Score: 95/100; recommended for the heavy story lover, but I think it should have longer (24/26) episodes

Oke saudara-saudara, tak terasa sudah hampir 2 bulan wa di Jogja. Begitu banyak hal yang berubah, sampe-sampe ga ngupdet blog ini sampe 2 bulan lebih wakaka. Yo mo gimana lagi, udah ga ada internet cepet lagi, wong ini blog (dulu) isinya maunya tentang Eroge semua wakakakaka ^o^

Yaudah, jadi seputar info sajalah:
- Semenjak pindah ke Jogja, wa ga pernah main eroge lagi. Ya mo gimana lagi, di rumah banyak orang, apalagi skarang ga ada yang namanya kamar pribadi -_-"
O iya, bulan puasa juga ding xD
- Ke skolah ternyata 15 menit! Tak kira deket, ternyata jauh juga. Itu juga blum parkir+liat map gedung+cari kelas
- Sempet juga nyasar cari Amplas sampenya malah Borobudur xD
- Banyak kos di Jogja! Dulu sempet was-was gara-gara nyari kos beberapa minggu sebelum masuk, ternyata setelah masuk masih banyak juga kos yang kosong.
Buat yang males nyari juga ada jasa pencari kos-kosan. Tinggal daftar, bayar 15 ribu, nunggu HP berdering
- Anak-anak banyak yang cabut ke skolah lain. Tadinya di tempat wa ada 6 orang anak alumni, skarang tinggal 2 orang (termasuk wa -_-")
- ALSTE 2010 ada 36 orang, cowoknya 7 orang (termasuk wa -_-")
- Sekelas ada 26, ada bule 7 orang juga
- Ternyata anak-anak di kelas wa kurang pengalaman hidup! Wakakakakaka ^o^

Update pertama abis (nyaris) satu bulan! Yah skarang dah mulai sibuk-sibuknya di dunia nyata, jadi waktu buat ngeblog jadi smakin kurang. Dan kayaknya bakal semakin berkurang berhubung sekarang gue dah ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi :d.

Pertamanya, blog ini dibuat untuk menampung review berbagai game yang bener-bener bagus menurut gue tapi cuma sedikit orang yang tahu. Sejenis underappreciated game gitu lah. Tapi ujung-ujungnya cuma dikit game yang gw review gara-gara serangan klasik, rasa malas ^o^. Dan juga ternyata menjadi seorang seniman kata-kata itu tidak mudah seperti yang gue kira (post yang satu ini aja kata-katanya dah rada ngawur T_T). Gue bahkan ngabisin sekitar 4 jam (!) buat nulis yang satu ini.

Rencananya akhir Juni blog ini bakal didelete, jadi ini mungkin post terakhir yang ada di blog ini. Segenap karyawan blog 'Phenomenon of the Land' (emank ada? Perasaan cuma satu xD) mengucapkan terima kasih karena udah berkunjung 'n menyempatkan komen (cuma dikit sih :d). Mungkin suatu saat lagi kita akan bertemu haha.

A Morning Attack by Light Novels

And I woke up in the morning just to find, hey what the heck?! xD

Early in the morning, I have a mission; Going to the post office and secure my package. I don't know why, but I got a "Calling letter" calling me to receive my package. Since the time is quite limited (8 AM to 10 AM), I need to go fast and reach the office ASAP. But suddenly I got a message saying that we'll have a ceremony at 8! And so my schedule broken into pieces...

At 8 I was ready for the ceremony but it happens that there is no ceremony and the message is a fraud -_-". Getting ready to depart for the post office, I found my vehicle is blocked by other vehicles so I couldn't get it out. Then I called my H1N1 friend and have him give me a ride to the post office. It's great since I conserved my vehicle's fuel ^o^.

Then arrival at the post office. I was getting ready to enter through the main door before the parking man (sounds just right ^_^) give me information that for receiving package have to go the other door. And I went there, and welcomed warmheartedly by the officer.

From my conversation with him, I have concluded:
1. He has a wife
2. He has high interest in education
3. He is a nice person
4. He likes to talks about himself
5. He likes jokes
6. For import goods, they will be stopped at the office. The receiver have to come and claim it after receiving the calling letter
7. The receiver will be sent the calling letter thrice, if nothing is done the package will be sent to the shipping address
8. Gap between each calling letter: 2 weeks

I also want to talk about forbidden goods and customs, but heck the time is insufficient -_-".

And now we come to the light novels! Here I got Suzumiya Haruhi light novels volume 1 and 2. I've heard reputations for it, so I'm looking forward to read it ^o^.

I'm currently reading Spice & Wolf at the moment. And yeah, its anime and manga's story is neatly following the novel, though some details from the novel are excluded.

Well, I'm used to think that light novel and real novel are the same (effects from playing visual novel? lol ^o^). But after reading the actual thing, I have to agree with the opinion saying light novel and real novel are different. Both have different ways to satisfy us readers, like light novel with graphics to relive readers for mid-way refresh and real novel with its beautiful word choices and deep plots plus heavy twists. Just my opinion though ^_^.

Playing Guitar!

Well folks, it's me again! Just recently I start exercising on the guitar, and at last I'd say I'm quite pleased with my playing (it took me 2 weeks because of my laziness though -_-"). Here are some tips from me if you want to play guitar.

OK, here are the tips:

1. Be ready to hurt your fingers. Guitar strings are varied from the soft to hard. Nevertheless, you must brace yourself to take a pain for your fingers, since they would worn out from "holding" the string. Don't worry, they are quickly to recover and when you get used in it you'll rarely hurt your fingers again (like I'm to talk ^_^)

2. Learn the basic chords; Mayor and minor. IIRC most of songs created in this world is formed of mayor and minor chords. Learning it will keep you playing the songs, and this would be the first step I'd recommend for you to learn.

3. Play your favourite songs! This will make you learn faster, since there is undeniable factor that doing something favorable could keep results to optimum. For me, I'd recommend these three; Ada Apa Denganmu by Peterpan, Mau Dibawa Kemana by Armada, and Berita pada Kawan by Ebiet G. Ade. Why these three? Since either are made by at least 4 chords, and there is no advanced chord used in them. And hey, the songs also nice!

4. Buy a pick. You can try playing it barehanded, but playing with pick is definitely better.

5. Practice hard! Don't be like me, taking 2 weeks :p. Actually I think you can master it within 4 days (playing chord only, of course)

Nyoblos Nyoblosss

Setelah sekian lamaaa akhirnya nyoblos juga -_-". Yah nyoblosnya dah 2 hari yang lalu si, tapi niat ngeposnya baru kluar sekarang wakaka xD

BTW berhubung tentang Indonesia, jadi postnya pake Bahasa :d

Oke jadi langsung saja ke topik permasalahan. Hari Minggu itu wa pergi buat nyoblos di TPS 2. Setelah menahan diri untuk menyoblos selama beberapa jam (baca: kesasar), akhirnya sampai juga di TPS-nya.

Jujur, pemandangan di dalem agak ironi. Wa inget waktu masuk disambut hangattt banget kayak tamu yang uda ditunggu-tunggu 50 tahun ga dateng-dateng, akhirnya dateng juga. Tapi yang terlihat di dalam adalah: bangku yang kosong melompong (bahkan kalo wa pake tiduran aja bisa). Satu-satunya pencoblos (yeah!) adalah wa sendiri. Baru duduk ga sampe 1 menit aja dah dipanggil. Padahal wa datengnya jam 8-nan. Lumayan pagi lah, berhubung dimulainya jam 7.

Yah yang penting dapet pengalaman baru, Nyoblos mata orang, wakaka xD

The Lady and The Bodyguard: The 3rd

Been a long time since my last post! The busyness and instability of my internet connection are one to blame here! Though my laziness (again) would be the most trouble xD.

Coming off the national exam: Here goes game month! This month also has one of my most awaited eroge: "暁の護衛～罪深き終末論～"!

The third installment of 暁の護衛 series starts with another drama taking place. This time the police has surrounded the forbidden district, with a plan to eradicate all the "residents" and deport them. Now to fight for it (?), Kaito and his gang have to make a counter-plan.

I started playing 暁の護衛 a year ago, out of curiosity. Having not much expectation, it easily amazes me how the story folds and the strengths of the characters. And hey, you rarely got a badass protagonist!

Right, if you have to ask me the most attracting point of the game, I'd say the protagonist. Kaito is one of the better hero I'd found in an eroge and heck, he's cool. And hey, even the two preceding games were mostly telling his past!

Kaito's story has clearly told in the last 2 installments. I wonder what Syangrila tells in this one? Can't wait for the 22nd!

National Exam on March!

I just got this recently, the national exam's schedule on March. It did suprise me, if not for much, quite much.

So the schedule are:

Monday, March 22nd 2010: National language+Biology (this will be pure hell)
Tuesday, March 23rd 2010: English (better be on the first day or the last though)
Wednesday, March 24th 2010: Mathematics (neutral about this one)
Thursday, March 25th 2010: Physics (also neutral, though I need more exercises on this)
Friday, March 26th 2010: Chemistry (this is it, the most underestimated subject, though it often suprises me)

Out of them, I won't resistant to say BIOLOGY is the most and most with most confusing subject. Don't know why but every time I study biology I never got a hold of it -_-".

Anyone have tips on studying biology?

By the way year 2010 means the time for Akatsuki no Goei Fandisk 2 to arrive! Heck, I never saw a game with 2 fandisks (or it's only me :-p). I wondered what to tell in the fandisk, since the first fandisk already solved IMO all problems unsolved in the main game.

And seorang, you need to face national exam in March! Stop playing games and start studying!

Inserting Cracked Games to Your iPod!

Well, it's as the title says. I don't know if this will work in either iPhone 2G/3G/3GS, but at least it works for iPod Touch 3G, OS 3.12.

First Step: Jailbreaking

For OS 3.12 (and all other firmwares), you need to jailbreak it first. You can use blackra1n. The rest are self-explaining, but I'll post the steps here anyway:

1. Download blackra1n from here.
2. Terminate processes related to iTunes (iTunes.exe and iTunesHelper.exe)
3. Connect your iPod to your computer.
4. Run blackra1n.
5. Click on "make it ra1n", don't panic if it doesn't work for the first time; Exit the program and run it again.
6. When it succeed, there will be a confirmation to restart your iPod. Click OK and your iPod will restart.
7. Then you will see a picture (the same) again on your iPod. Exit blackra1n and run it again once. When the confirmation to restart your iPod appears, your iPod will return to home screen.
8. Congrats, you have succeed in jailbreaking your iPod!

NB: For OS 3.12, iPod jailbreaking is still in tethered mode. It means if you let your iPod battery out or shut down or restart, you have to restart jailbreaking again.

Second Step: Inserting the Cracked Game

OK, you have finished jailbreaking your iPod. Now is the real deal, inserting the game!

1. Download "Cydia" from "blackra1n" (it should appear in your home screen when you successfully jaibreak your iPod)(Need Wi-Fi).
2. Download "afc2add" from "Cydia" (Need Wi-Fi).
3. Download this app from Mr. Rizwan (thanks Mr. Rizwan!).
4. Extract the files, then run “Patch_App31.bat” while connecting your iPod to the computer.
5. Go search cracked .ipa files in the internet and open it with iTunes (Don't ask me where to get it, just google).
6. Sync with your iPod and go games like mad!

ましろ色シンフォニー: Review

ましろ色シンフォニー, an eroge that I finished completely after a long time (the latest was 終わりなき夏永遠なる音律, though I skipped on some dialogues). What made me hooked on the game so that I played through all the routes? Let's see!

Well, I write the review quite late (the game released a month ago), blame my laziness for this xD.

ましろ色シンフォニー

The region's all-girls school has decided to incorporate some students from the same region general school and Uryu (hero) along with his younger sister Sakuno, his friend Hayata and some other has been elected to attend to it. Here they meet Angie, a really lively maid looking for a master while working at the school. Airi the chairman's daughter who is also against having boys in a all-girl school. She's also Sakuno's best friend. Miu, a really gentle senior that always carries with her a weird cat (?) called Pannya.

The story very much revolves around Uryuu and the heroines (of course ^_^). As ぱれっと ever be, their stories is focused on drama, though this time they put in good portion of comedy. I could tell you more about the story, but it best for you to play it yourself, I approved it xD.

For the casts, maybe I'll write another time when I feel like it xD.

Now about my scores:

Story 9.5/10
The story is light themed, though it's just fun to see how the characters developed. Full of comedies and dramas, plus it's from Pallete, just one of my genre!
Graphics 8.5/10
I must say character designs and backgrounds are eye-catching, though I could argue about the CGs. There are too much "eye-less" protagonist Gs, though some gets an "eye-having" protagonist. Why don't make all the CGs "eye-having" protagonist?
Sound 9/10
Pallete almost uses the same formula for musics, but I like it! A combination of orchestras and pianos, and each placed at the right moment. I also like the VAs for each characters.
Personal Opinion 9.5/10 --> 19/20 (x2)
The exciting to unexpected development of the story made me keep playing the game to the end. And I finished playing the game, it left a good impression for me!
Overall 46/50 (92%)
Another masterpiece from ぱれっと. Just like all other their games, it includes a drama in the end. Though it is not as dramatic as the other titles, the mix-up comedy covers for it. Recommended for first time readers and other intermediate readers!

Stars of the TOEFL

Heck, today TOEFL scores from the last test is out, and to see my scores is just plain suprising and exciting.

And I reach the score 548!!! That means I completed one of the requirements to enter an university that I wanted to enter (it needs minimum score of 500, while the other one needs 520). Though so, the best score is 560, gotten by my friend, sitting exactly next to me during the test. Arrgghhh next time I'll beat him for sure!!! xD

And WTH, today I also received the results of LI* TOEFL practice test, and suprised once again to see the score of 572??? I studied at LI* for 1.5 months and I got raises in my score for about 90 points??? BTW my last TOEFL score before start studying in LI* was 487 (three months ago).

Any references for studying overseas? Like things you need to do when first arriving in foreign countries, or tips to find an accomodation? Feel free to share your experience here!

BTW now I'm playing ましろ色シンフォニー at the moment, and I must say it's the best release this month IMO. I also think it could be in the top 10 of eroge 2009 sales. Maybe I can review it in the future about what are the good points. Go Pallete! xD

Just Some Updates

It has been long since I last post. That's mainly because I'm focused in studying with no free time (even at night), plus I just don't found any interesting material to be posted. But well, I can update on my life once in a time so here you go!

Hmm so other than studying for the last year of school, some things and interesting facts I experienced over the last month are:

1. Mid term report cards were distributed to the students 2 days ago, and I'm in shock to see my math score is 92. Wow!

2. A art exhibition held by my school on Saturday last week. It seemed to have some misunderstanding with the authorities. In middle of the performance from a national band, the authorities decided to end it, even when it hasn't ended yet (about at 1 A.M).

3. Some people said that ましろ色シンフォニー has an unknown hack-resister, rendering it to be unplayed. I have not test it, since I'm quite busy with キスと魔王と紅茶 anyway (which is turned out to be quite good). And I'm saving the best for the last :p. Hope it would be another masterpiece from Pallet.

4. Another PC game, 幼なじみは大統領, the one I had my eyes on before, turned out to be comedy centric with a little plot. I just had some problem on getting the feel when playing ones with little plot -_-".

5. No Name Losers have released a standalone ef chapter 5. This chapter is the prologue of ef, so you can play it without knowlegde of the earlier chapters. Also apparently No Name Losers hasn't decided on the next game they should take for their next project. If you want your favorite game to be translated, request to them!

6. Watched a TV program from a TV station that uses Suikoden II BGM music. Makes me want to play it again.

7. At last mastered Rubiks Cube! After 2-3 days of that-so-called playing yourself at home. Now is the practice to increase the speed thus reducing the time!
For the purpose of documentation, I'll write the formulas here:

- 1st layer: Just make one color, with the first layer of each sides of the cube being the right color.
- 2nd layer: See the middle-bottom color of the cube on each sides, slide it into the right color. Then make it further from the color it should be (see the color on the opposite side of the middle-bottom cube).
The formula is: further-near side down-backwards-near side up-backwards-front to near-further-front to further.
- 3th layer: After the 2nd layer of each sides of the cube are right, see the upper side. Continue doing the formula until cubes with the right color is adjacent and forms a +.
The formula is: F-R-U-R'-U'-F'.
- 4th layer: Look at each sides of the cube. If the middle color is not right (not adjacent) use the formula until adjacent.
The formula is: R-U-R'-U-R-U-U-R'.
- 5th layer: See the most-most side of the upper cube. If it is not right, use the formula.
The formula is: R-U-L'-U'-R'-U-L-U'.
- 6th layer: The most-most color should have been right. Use the formula until all the color of the upper cube is right.
The formula is: R'-D'-R-D.

Angel Beats! Staffs Revealed

It's the upcoming anime from an original idea of Jun Maeda (the scenario writer for AIR, Kanon, and Little Busters! Ecstasy), so it's an expectation we'll going to see more death, death, and death! But since the characters is already from the land of the dead, how will they be dead again?! xD

The staffs has been announced just few days ago. They are:

Director: Kishi Seiji (Seto no Hanayome, Tentai Senshi Sunred)
Art Director: Hirata Katsuzou (Strike Witches, Gurren Lagann)
Sound director: Iida Satoki (Seto no Hanayome, Tentai Senshi Sunred)
Production: PA Works (true tears, CANAAN)

The director is from Seto no Hanayome means one of my friend will love it and the production from PA Works means I'll see another True Tears epicness xD.

The story takes place in a world after death. Angels are fighting for the concluded fate and future. That's pretty much the premise of the story.

Jun Maeda said that a 21 minutes anime wouldn't be enough to tell all Angel Beats stories. This means there are possibilities they will release either Drama CD or Novel version to tell the untold stories.

Traveling Around --- Part IV

Okay folks, this time my journey went to Jepara, the city known for the birthplace of R.A Kartini, a woman emancipation figure. And that's why one of my tourism destination in Jepara is called Pantai Kartini (Kartini Beach). This report is sponsored by Ca**n --- Enlightening you, always (I made that myself, maybe).

Pantai Kartini is a beach located in Jepara (heck I explained that in earlier paragraph). One of the things you'd mention first is the huge turtle statue located in center of the place. And it has a nice resemblance to a real turtle too.

Merantau, an action-focused film of my country after years --- people described high opinions of it, but how did it turns out?

So, here are my quick review on Merantau:
+ High adrenaline fighting action
+ Good relaxation after a huge barrage of local horror film
+ Nice musical score (soundtrack)
- Overly dramatical
- Scenario could be better

My final verdict for Merantau is:
3.5 stars out of 5

Frigtening! The Real Auction

Just done a real auction, and it's frighteningly...er what?

Here's a footage from my last auction (which I lost):

Suspect: 5***u, o***o, ***** (which has (2), or me)
Starting price: $0.01
Last bid: $5.52
Chronology:
1. The item was put on auction for 7 days. At this time I discovered the item and started to watch it.
2. About 3 days left, first bidder appeared. $0.01 bid.
3. About 2 days left, the bidder raises his bid to $0.72 (IIRC).
4. About 1 day left, another bidder appeared and bid $1.02.
5. About 19 hours left, I started bid $1.27, but outbid at the same time. Since there's 19 hours left, I left my bid outbid.
6. About 8 minutes left, the battle begin. I bid 8 times, but outbid 8 times (that's what I call frightening) by o***o. I fell off the battle.
7.I watched the rest of the auction with a belief for o***o to be the winner. But unexpectedly, 5***u, who always been staying quiet since my battle with o***o, came up with a last minute resort, a deciding one bid, thus outbidding the other bidder, and won the day.

And that's my experience from my first real auction. Some lessons for me are:
- When joining an auction, be sure that the item is the item you've always wanted. A halfhearted result in loss.
- Determine that you know that the price could be an overwhelming one. Just don't be suprised.
- An experience make a best teacher.

Playing Lossless .tak Files

When you're downloading some musics, you might found some of those musics is in .tak (lossless) format, especially for new musics (ex. from Comiket one). While it's great since lossless music gives you a great, pure sound than other formats, but the file can't be opened. And it's looks like an image file. So what do you do? Mount it on an image drive? Well, now here's a step to play these files.

Follow me! *drumrolls*
1. Download the .tak plugin here.
2. The archive contains needed things to run .tak, such as music player, winamp plugin, development kit, and decoder.
3. Follow the instructions in the readme of each folder!

There's also other alternative, such as using foobar2000 and it's .tak plugin, and others.

Pati is like a farmer's town, many residents works as farmer. Thus making the town consists mostly of farm, farm, and more farm. View on This Year School's Celebration

On this year, Indonesia will celebrate its 64th birthday which is on 17th August. And my school of course, held competitions for students to celebrate together for that. But what happens?

From my point of view, I have to say they have done their job well. Today is the second of third day of celebration, which means it's already halfway. What competitions are being held? It is:

1. Futsal
2. Volleyball
3. Estafet/marathon (with very weird rules which they think is fun, but sorry, not for me)
4. Adventure (that treasure hunting with some clues)
5. Choir

I think I can tell my impression on each of them:

1. Futsal
- Nicely done. Everybody, from the officials and the teams plus the supporters enjoy the game. Possibly the best competition in the event.
2. Volleyball
- Played with weird rule, where a cotton is spread within the net, making the teams unable to see the other team. This makes a team could be suprised by a sudden attack anytime. But overall, I enjoyed the match.
3. Estafet/marathon
- Weird rules. Such as eating something while running, dive your face in a bowl full of ketchup, delivering a ball to the other side by your mouth, and anything is possible.
4. Adventure
- Treasure seeking with a paper. There's an accident which cancel the competition.
5. Choir
- Quite good.

Though so, I think this year is so-so. Hoping a better one next year.

First is the shocking news of Mbah Surip. Another rising musician who died just when he got his prime. I liked his songs such as Tak Gendong and Bangun Tidur. Was expecting his next releases (which is scheduled in next month) though... I WILL FOLLOW YOUR SPIRIT MBAH SURIP!!! I LOVE YOU FULL HAHAHAHAHAHA.

ナツユメナギサ First Impression

Tried ナツユメナギサ by SAGAPLANETS and has past the prologue. Must say it has a promising premise. Well this (could) be the last AVG I play before starting the personal AVG ban starting from 21 August (okay folks, you know why ^_^).

So, the story of ナツユメナギサ starts with Komiyama Nagisa, the protagonist, being lost his memory. He doesn't remember anything, than that he was diving at the beach, before waking up and being ended up in a white room at the hospital. And that also his reason for being peerless, only have the school's doctor as his guardian (and the one who gave him the name Nagisa after he lost his memory, though he protested for the name being too girlish).

Then in the Thanksgiving day, he found a card asking him to go to the music room. There he found a diary and a card, asking him to do errands. And so he do those errands, also to recover his memory.

OK if the prologue isn't too interesting it's my fault for getting a red for story telling ^_^. But it's really good IMO.

Another to my suprise is how they did character development nicely. Characters whom I thought personalities won't be interesting, transformed, thus turned my impression.

When the first had came, it wasn't the secend. Secoooondddd!!!

I won this item from an auction (well can't really say it's an auction, since there is only 1 bid, which is my bid :-p). And my first time in an auction, I could say it's a good experience. So we have to come up with a strategy in an auction hmm...Hope that could be my reference to (maybe, but likely not xD) future auctions.

So what did I buy? I can't say it's a completely rare item, though it may be considered rare in my country for obvious reason. It's:

It's Key 10th Anniversary Book, a book to celebrate Key 10th year in entertainment. This book is actually a suplement for a Japanese magazine Comptiq 02/2009. Key 10th Anniversary Book covers up all Key releases from their very first Kanon until Rewrite (there is no Key lastest project Angel Beats! since it was publicized on April 2009).

Front cover is 千里朱音 from Rewrite, while for the back they used Key logo (everybody can see it xD). The book is about 74 page total, all about Key.

Into my notice, is the air delivery time. Though the seller said it would arrive in about 7-10 bussiness days, the packet arrived in 4 days light-speed. The packet was sealed and in great condition. Lights Affect Plants?

I got a biology assignment by Mr. Ra**** about plant grows. Why plant grows? God? Water? Air? How does light sound? Oh speed of light.....

So the assignment is about we have to test how a factor relates with plant growth. For the experiment, I went with light. One wheat with light, one without light.

And the experiment results are:

Wheat 4th day light, too little? About 0.2 cm

Wheat 4th day nonlight, bigger is better. About 0.7 cm

Wheat 7th day light. Wait...did the volume shrink? About 0.15 cm

Wheat 7th day nonlight. Biggerrr man. About 1.6 cm (maybe).

Why this can happen? Why...why...why...? Well this because when the plant is getting sunlight, auksin hormon (which is for fasting plant growth) is dissolved, and when it's not getting one, auksin hormon works effectively fasting plant growth to sunlight direction. That's what made plant without sunlight grows faster that that did, hahahahahaha *sok master biology* (actually the one made this post didn't know anything about what he talks xD).

Just recently I got my hands on 終わりなき夏永遠なる音律, so I'd share my first impression on this. I'll try to be objective, but since I fast forwarded through the story (or more to don't understand Japanese :-p) maybe I'm misunderstanding some things, so feel free to correct me.

終わりなき夏永遠なる音律's story starts off with a classical music school in a rural area which Takumi (main character) is a member of it. Actually that area is already issued for an evacuation, so only few people remained in the area. Other than that, everthing is normal. The classical music club entered an event/contest. They failed get the first prize, but managed to snatch up the special prize.

Not long after, the school teachers mention up that the school will be closed at the end of the first term, regarding the evacuation. The news bring shock to all school residents. Though so, everyone accepts it, and the classical music club decides that they will play a piece in the school closing ceremony, for the last, and for eternity.

Pretty much an organized and solid story with dramatic moments here and there. Plus animated character, and great music, making up the game.

I took the character route for Rize but ended up for Karen?

Want to enjoy MP3s in your X360 while playing games? Or maybe hearing Hallelujah while killing grubs in Gears of War? Here's step by step guide to insert your own MP3s.

1. Burn your MP3s into a CD-R/CD-RW with format audio CD (don't make it data CD, since it isn't able to rip off data cd).
2. Insert the CD into your X360 drive.
3. Open music library from your X360 dashboard.
4. Select the option current disc to make a playlist based on the cd you have inserted.
5. Select the option rip CD.
6. Give a check mark to tracks you want to rip.
7. Write song infos for the tracks you have ripped (artist, album, genre, and song title), and select save changes.
8. Wait until your tracks are fully ripped, then select done.
9. Enjoy!

There also other ways to play MP3s such as:
1. Using portable devices (USB Flash Disk, MP3 players, etc).
2. Connecting your computer with X360.

Now Indonesia had another bomb accidents. Will MU keep on going with their tour in Indonesia? Or will they exchange it with a letter of apologize to Indonesian "From MU, with Love"?

More information, just this morning 2 big explosions happened in Mega Kuningan area. Exactly about 07.40, bombs exploded in JW Marriot Hotel and Ritz Carlon Hotel. Approximately more than tens injured and at least nine killed in the accident. (Source: VIVANews)

Also in the same day, another explosion also went off at entrance of Muara Angke Toll. But after some time, a source reported that the explosion was from a burned car, not from a bomb, like predicted before. (Source: VIVANews). More news here (Indonesian).

I tried shopping abroad, and after a long wait, it arrived!

This is my first time shopping abroad online, so I was anxious about it. My brother succeed in doing that twice, which had me to gather up my courage shopping something from Play Asia (Hong Kong). To test, I used a cheap item, with Air Mail express service, which is cost-free, with 5-14 days estimation for arrival, and no insurance. No insurance thingy is what made me to use this service, as to test if the packet could arrive in their destination.

And That Happens...The First Day

First day coming to school was full of events, if not shocks.

Usual ceremony, unorganized speech, and tension of class assignment colored up the first day. And hell, hands up for IA 5 who got many of Nakula Sadewa remnants with them. While our only got 3 *punches who made the class assignment*.

And not to much of my suprise is the unpopular moving class. Since I've experienced that before, I wasn't suprised to do that again. What came to my shock is how crowded the school after moving class. Heck. Didn't the teachers think about that before? And it's more tiring than in my old school (since there are much fewer people).

45 minutes recess is not effective too. Better make it 15 minutes so we can go back faster. Every seconds in home is matter, right? To sleep ^_^.

Some impression of it:
1. Moving class. Crowded like hell. One of my friend commented that our school is becoming a traditional market, and I can't agree more of it.
2. Coming fast, back late. Have to make some edit of that starting time and end time of school.
3. Great ring. To tell for hour change, time to start studying, and end studying. They are using some music which is my school theme anyway -_-". Sometime they change to national songs. I wonder if they will play Anison or Mbah Surip?

Some rumour:
1 Someone didn't consent with the class assignment and request a class change. And she succeed. Just a rumour?
2. Asukawati rages because she got a different class from me (hooray ^_^). Just a rumour?
3. Many others...

End of a Holiday

Arrgghhh tomorrow will be the last day of the holiday. We need more!!

Last holiday was quite long, but give us 1 week more xD! Well, 3 actually weeks is quite long and I was able travel to isolated cities (which didn't have internet connection---or was it only me?) and become a bolang (anak tanpa rumah/anak ilang). Becoming a bolang isn't all pain though, we get to take numerous amount of photos.

Addicting like guitar hero! Cool music like MP3s! Streaming live! Though sometimes gets lag -_-". But since it's still beta, there will be improvements in the future I believe.
When you play this you might remember some similar games (02Jam, VOS, Guitar Hero), since it has same gameplay. But now, to play with your friends, you don't have to be near them! Just be on your internet and give them a duel challenge.
There is 2 style of playing, tap and tap and strum. Tap requires you to push buttons, where tap and strum requires you to hold the button(s) and press enter (or other key you've assigned to).
To play multiplayer, you can give the a duel challenge (1 on 1), which one of you will play first to record your score, then the other will play later with his/her shadow score to beat. There's also a mode called showdowns, where players (more than 2) will play simulatenously with live score update.
I highly recommend this game!
Tips:
Well, you can play like crazy, but remember your keyboard xD.

Windows 7: An Impression

My brother pleaded me to use this new operating system from Microsoft, and since I want to format my computer anyway, it wouldn't hurt to install Windows 7 first and see what happens.

When you first inserted Windows 7 RC DVD, an autorun would appear. You could install the Windows 7 or check the compability with your computer first. After that, the install would be self-explanatory. Oh, there is also a choice whether you want to upgrade from your old Windows or make a fresh installation. Either way, your old Windows data (if you are using Windows, I never tried with other OS) will be moved to windows.old folder, so you can restore your old datas if you want. It took me about 1.5-2 hours installing in my 2.2GHz Core2Duo, 2 GB RAM though.

Pretty much like Vista. You can see the diffierences is mainly on the taskbar where the icons becomes smaller, so you can tag many shorcuts on it. And for performance fixes, I don't see many changes from Vista (I could understand since it's still RC), but still a good feeling using new OS though ^_^.

But supports for Windows 7 are still limited, which made me decide to revert back to my lil' ol' Vista, since all of my laptop drivers won't run in it.

For now I don't see many changes for 7 from Vista. But I hope Microsoft could invest many innovatons for 7 so it won't end with it'd please many Windows user and make them more loyal for using the OS (like me).

Change of a Season

Today I just received my report card and successfully got up one grade. The result was average though hahaha ^_^.

Gah, the teacher was so cruel. They give me just average scores. Man, and I was a good boy and obidient one (was I? ^_^). I had hoped they would give me better result though.

And time just flies by, next year I'll face the national exam, the last test being an adult. Then go to the university, and get work. Under starry sky tonight, for some reason I feel like nostalgia.

I started my high school life graduating from junior high school (of course, you'd have to be a genius for a graduate e from kindergarten being admitted into high school ^_^). And suddenly be disappointed since I was to spirited in registering myself to one of better high school in the city ASAP, since my friends did that later so they could the entrance test together. Later, they found the examen number were shuffled and went ROFL hahaha.

Then joining the Marching Band squad in the school after being deceived by their amazing performance. Kind of regretted my decision, but in the same time I also enjoyed my time there.

Moving to another city and meet someone weird called ***kawati (hahahahahahaha) who always talked to me how she loved ***dam SEED and **ra Yamato. "He's just cool." Then also this "SOS Dan" maniac called Gentong, who kept his calm when I first talked to him about it, but he lets out his other self after some time later.

And then I browsed online shops and found AIR Blu-Ray Box Complete. And saw the price, 34.080 Yen!!! OMG ROFL WTH WTF!!!!!! Well, not that I want to buy it though, but the price!!! It's the price!!!

Well, when I think about being a college student, I highly doubt my gaming routine would be disturbed by that. There might be high chances I'll stop watching animes (I rarely watches them now though), but I wonder if I'll stop playing Visual Novels next year? Who knows...

MS Office 2010 First Look

Microsoft releases their Microsoft Windows 7, and Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 following not long after. Just recently they release Technical Preview for Microsoft Office 2010. Here's my first look on this new office support from Microsoft.

As you can see, what first would catch your eye is a new loading when you first startup your office. Thought that loading would take long, actually it isn't. It just only matter of seconds before Word finally starts up.

Here's the new home of Microsoft Word 13. There's not much difference with Word 12, just there is a small blue button (with office logo) on upper left screen. And when you clicked it this would appear:

A flashy blue screen. Pretty much eye catching and a nice change from the old style.

For the Future

Starting next new semester, our school will apply new regulations (as the get their ISO 7001 - 2000 and feel like an international school).

Some of it are:

1. School starting at 6.45 AM and ends at 2.30 PM.
2. Effective days would be from Monday to Friday. Saturday would be used for club activities for fourth and fifth year, while sixth year would have homeroom and/or college promotions.
3. Moving class will be implemented.

I pretty much *hearing some sound from some court: OBJECTION!* all of the new regulations. School starting at 7.00 AM was already freaking me out, now 6.45 would be futher crazes me out T_T. Plus student absence in Saturday shouldn't be an obligatory, or it wouldn't be any meaning in making five effective days since the student would still come to school anyway.

As for moving class, I have experience it back in my old senior high school in Makassar. It's pretty much tiring that we have to revert back to the old style midway the semester. And that old style were pretty much better.

Well, I hope they would cancel that international-school-wannabe regulations.

This is a Cinderella story told in the game 明日の世界より/Tommorow from New World. The story is my first attempt in translating Japanese, so expect it to be roughly translated (and thus maybe have many errors). Enjoy!

That girl was a daughter from a village who now lived in countryside.

One day, the girl fell in love with a boy who saved her from a dangerous place.

But surprisingly, the boy was a prince, who ought to be loved by everyone.

And beside the prince, there's his fiance and her older sister.

Three of them were good friends, so much that the girl couldn't be in between them.

But the girl didn't gave up. She decided to become a soldier in order to be close to him.

Then the country was in war.

The girl, was one step closer to the prince because of her disguise.

The girl tried her best as a soldier.

Because of that, the girl got praised by the prince and be promoted.

Someday, the appearance of a soldier training in front of the prince disappeared.

The prince had promoted the girl into knight, and ordered her to always be close to him.

The prince always wanted for a friend of same age.

Then the prince and his knight wandered various places.

To the sea. To the mountain. To the forest.

They both made many secrets known only by them.

The prince not aware of the girl because she dressed up.

The prince was only looking for a good friend.

Actually, the prince had realized about the girl, but he's scared to admit it.

After the ball, the prince got a report that one knight is missing.

Feeling grief and sadness, the prince couldn't sleep.

When the girl tried to remove her dress, it was too late. Whoever voice couldn't carried to him anymore.

The prince would keep in grief. Until this country are ruined.

The girl returned to her village.

And alone, her memories with prince in that place, will be kept.

Until the country are ruined.

This story actually pretty much tells a route in the game. The game is quite good too.

The Sims 3 First Impression

Start of holidays, took The Sims 3, and enjoyed it!

Started The Sims 3, what interesting is now they formally support mods. The Sims 2 is heavily mod-able, and have tons of mods floating in the net, which also raises the reputation for the game. I think that what made EA consider supporting mod for The Sims, which is a good thing anyway.

Then starting a new game. Only one neighborhood is available, a down from The Sims 2 which offered 3 neighborhoods. A disappointment, but only until I opened the neighborhood.

And hey! I found many things in the neighborhood. Malls, bookstores, restaurants, pools, and many others. So to start playing, I had to choose one of the family available or make a new sim. So I went to the create a sim menu.

OK, create a sim menu were usual. You get a name, setting your face, your aspirations, and others. Another down here is I didn't find face scanning feature. It would help to use that feature.

Moving the family to one of the house. And the old The Sims gaming style begins. They changed camera controls, but it wasn't to difficult to master it. Now we able to rotate thing diagonally. Good one.

Searching a job, got the police one. What amazed me most is when you have reached high ranks in your career, you got a free car! So it's like when you become a president you got a president car (in Indonesian, mobil dinas). Verryy coooll!

And now you can visit your neighborhoods! Shopping in the mall, and many more! The Sims 3 is the best The Sims up to date in my opinion!

Our exam ends today, and I really touched this last day!

Maybe because that was my first time being treated like that (was used to be treated *ugh rough <-- not the real meaning* :p) so I was really really really really really really really (hey don't spam) touched by it. Pada suatu hari ada tiga orang sekawan bernama Aneh, Gila, dan Hilang. Mereka bermain petak umpet. Gila-pun mendapat giliran jaga.

"Bodoh ketemu!"

Dengan cepat Gila dapat menemukan Bodoh. Akan tetapi hingga sore Hilang belum ketemu juga. Akhirnya mereka melapor ke kantor polisi.

I knew I had played this game 2 years ago...for 30 minutes. Since I found the gameplay is quite hard so I stopped it at that. And 2 weeks ago I replayed it (just for old times sake), but found out about how to play and ended up being addicted to it (hell 2 years just to find how to play).

So Captain Tisubasah let you control one person per team. So that means in match you only get to control one, which is your captain, but you can order your teammates to pass, shot, cross, etc by pressing circle when they got the ball.

So what took me 2 years to find out? That was the kind of -what do I say- unique gameplay. So as your playing getting to rumble (being head to head with your foe) a circle will appear. As the circle being in the center, press a button. If your timing is correct then you win the rumble. This means, even with the lowest level character possible, you can beat the game! By having a good timing feel and luck. By the way the rank of timing is CRITICAL>SMASH>GOOD>BAD.

As for the storyline, the game uses from the anime. It's from Tsubasa's childhood (elementary school/Nankatsu) until his appearance in Japan National Junior Team. And the game using cutscenes from the anime too!

The judgements:

Gameplay 8/10
What could I say...it's addicting at the start, but gets old after a while. As I stated, with good feeling you can finish the game easily. But it's quite good for spending time a while.

Graphic 7/10
Using cell-shaded 3D character, Captain Tsubasa is good! The graphic is eye-catching and the character looks lively (though had some flaw). I'm not too fond of the cutscenes though. Like Gino's Golden Hand cutscene after catching Tsubasa's Drive Shot, the anime was like that but seeing it in cell-shading environtment looked weird.

Sound 7/10
Original Tsubasa's VAs sounds all the character in the game (except Hyuuga's, his VA died some while ago). The field music isn't memorable, it'd be better if they bring in music from the anime.

Personal Opinion 6/10 --> 12/20 (x2)
A good game to spend your time.

Total 35/50 (70%) <-- REMIDIAL!!! I doubt Captain Tsubasa would be in my favourite game list. BTW sorry for the half-hearted review, I just not in mood to do it...

So Emotional Today

Don't know why but I feel so emotional today.

That'd I say. My internet connection broke again just after 1 day of reworking, unsatisfied with my Language National exam's work (took 1 hour just to finish the essays) + annoying couple test inspectors who moved their seats to the back and front like want to pincer the examen, forgetting to bring a calculator when doing the chemistry test (thus had to depend on my math skills) plus get stuck in Reminiscence part C, etc.

Though I thought it would recover when I played Grand Theft Auto, it was a reverse effect -_-".

Well just my 5 cents after a long time of post vacuum.

Inspired by my friend post aboutan upcoming test, I decided (to plagiarize) her post about it *evil grin*. Finishing time, exam, assignments, they come like there's no tommorow!

Hahaha this month really the busiest one. On 2nd May, we have Student's Day (those who have better translation tell me please, since my English suck ^_^), 20th May we have National Revival Day (where people wakes up from their eternal slumber huehuehue), plus 1st June we have a test!!! What the hell!!! Plus it's twice!!! On 1st June till 4th June (IIRC) we'll have the testsin English, then next week the tests will be in our mother language (mottthhaarrrrr). Plus I have many suspended activities like:

1. Registring my sister to my school. Since she'll graduate this year, she want to be in my school. And my school uses online registration this year with NISN (Nomor Induk Siswa Nasional/National Student Barcode), which is like a hell to be searched for (I even didn't find mine). But looks like she has already her own tricks up to her sleeve, good.

2. Learning Narcissu -Part C-, Mitumeteru -Part B&C-, Erisu no Tame ni -Part B&C-. I've struggled in Narcissu but still can't master it. While Mitumeteru is an easier piece in part A&B, part C is difficult. Erisu no Tame ni, usually people only playing it to part B, but I only has learnt part A by the way xD.

3. Playing The Sims 3. What the heck!!! It's exam time and The Sims 3 is out!!! Turn the time 1 month back!!!

4. Exam time. Study study.

5. The 29th wave of barrage of bandwidth of eater. Ugghhh.

The Crims & Travian!

Kejadian itu bermula 1 minggu yang lalu...

Dasar dah bosen, salah seorang temen wa {kita anggep saja H1N1 (only joke bro ^_^)} ngajakin chatting malem-malem. Tumben, soalnya si H1N1 biasanya tanya caranya chatting tiba-tiba ngajakin, biasanya juga makan es krim kalo malem. Ya udah langsunglah wa login ke YM dan di sana ternyata sudah menunggu 4 orang, si kriting (mirip Andy F. Noya dari Kick Andy), si Mashita (tulisannya gitu), si penjual klonengan (sering jualan klonengan), dan yang mengejutkan si H1N1 ternyata OL (kok wa nulisnya kayak mukjizat ya kalo H1N1 bisa chatting). Jadi mulailah wa berchatting ria. Jam baru menunjukkan 8 malam...

Dasar expert, pembicaraan pun mengarah ke arah sana. Akibatnya pembicaraan tak terhentikan. Topik-topik (banyak yang ngejek) terus mengalir. Jam 10 malam wa ngajak H1N1 buat main poker online yang disediakan oleh salah satu penyedia jasa pencarian internet. Menunggu dan terus menunggu, wa menyanyikan lagu Menunggumu milik Rhoma Irama, ku berdendang, ternyata si H1N1 malah ngacir main Travian. Lalu si H1N1 ngajak wa main. Ya udah wa pindah main Travian. Pertamanya pusing ternyata enak juga.

Kemudian wa ingat tentang game browser lain yaitu The Crims. Wa udah lama sih gak main (terakhir kali 3,5 taun lalu, diajakin kaka' wa). Meskipun masi ingat passwordnya, ternyata wa lupa usernamenya!!! Ya udah bikin baru (sekarang respectnya dah 1880, peringkat 750 Indonesia, yeah).

Jadi sebenarnya untuk apa basa-basi di atas? ...kalo dipikir-pikir gak ada gunanya sih. Jadi intinya wa mau ngerekomendasiin buat kalian semua main Travian 'n The Crims (nanti gabung geng wa ya).

Impresi pertama wa : Age of Empires versi simpel. Yup, gim ini memang mirip AoE, membangun desa, menyerang desa lain, mengirim bahan makanan, dll. Pertamanya memusingkan, tapi gim ini lumayan seru! Awas H1N1, nanti kalo desa wa dah lebih banyak populasinya tak serang lo!

Gasoca's Second Match

My weight got down by 3 kilos. Good ^_^.

The second match...worse than the first. We was beaten very badly than the first match, and to mention we were playing softball (instead of baseball in the first match). Well, at least I'm playing in this match and quite pleased with my performance. Just my glasses are a problem. I can see the ball without glasses, but I can't see the umpire and coach clearly. Fuuh...

DW Strikeforce First Impression

And I just got the game today. What. The. Heck.

Yes, when I saw the trailer I know something wrong is happening. They're flying! They're evolving! They're breaking rocks! They're come to life! (okay I know this is impossible)

Eager to play it, I started playing right away. And hey, seeing the opening it's the same as the trailer. Then to the main menu, I found an interesting thing here. No free mode. Only new game, continue, and option. Phew.

Went into new game. Here I saw roster of Dynasty Warriors 6. Quite good. Plus, each character has two weapons for them, meaning they can change weapons during the stage. Cool!

Then we got to city view. Here we can enhance our character and their weapons, like upgrading, giving elements, giving jewels, skills, shopping for items, and many more. Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce (or Sangokoku Musou Multi-Raid in Japanese), giving you quest system aside from story battle, which can you complete for materials in upgrading.

Making it to battle, I'm suprised. YES, I'M SUPRISED. THE CHARACTER CAN FLY. HOORAY, NOW I CAN FLY LIKR A BIRD AND HACK INTO MY FOES! Upsie, no. BECAUSE YOUR FOES CAN FLY TOO. The battle mainly fighting in the air now and you can evolve (read: rush mode) by pressing triangle and circle at the same time when your musou is full. In rush mode,your character has faster attack speed and power, thus depleting your musou. But don't worry, as your musou replenish as you defeat your foes. Interesting.

In a Free Day

Today is Sunday (of course). The hell for I decide to sprinkle heart (wakakakaka).

So I decided to come back to my hometown for once in a while, Pati. While gettiong prepared, I trained my skill in playing Narcissu and Ragtime (the simple version one, since my skill is still too slow for the advanced). I could play Ragtime quite good, just there isn't any development in my skill in playing Narcissu (the third movement is too hard, arrgghhh).

And so we (me and my familiars) started the journey to the west (if you rotate your atlas 180°). The way to Demak is in construction, to my suprise, and there is this stu*** truck stopping right in the middle of a bridge (like want to d**). With a little advanced skill in driving (making your car turn left), we passed that test and continued our journey.

Stopped in Kudus, we ate lunch. Then we went to ate soto/pindang (what's the english? Scrambled rice? Soup with goat and rice scrambled?). I remembered that there is Manny Pacquiao vs Ricky Hatton match in a TV station, so we asked the shopkeeper to turn on the TV for us. 3 seconds later, I saw Pacquiao giving a straight to body blow Hatton, and he just down there. Wow, and it was just round 2 too. Replay, and I mistook the punch. It was a half-uppecut to the right chin. No suprise Hatton is down. Heck, for a title match, it was only 2 rounds. Yadayada.

Arriving in Pati, it's good to see my grandmother is in good condition as always. And chit-chat.

Went back to Semarang, back to home, logged in the computer, and typed this.

Now I'm back to Semarang and I have a review and a first impression to work on. Tommorow is the last 4-days-holiday I'd get in the semester. Yadayada (again).

Well, some information about Narcissu 3 being released days ago, so it's still fresh. Watched the opening, it doesn't give me much impact as Narcissu 2. Well, I could play this (if I'm not too lazy to read the Japanese) or maybe waiting for a translation coming out. Either way works fine though.

Some Narcissu summary (for those who doesn't know):
The anonymous protagonist is diagnosed with a terminal illness shortly after his twentieth birthday, and is admitted to a hospital in Mito, Ibaraki. There he meets Setsumi, a woman a few years older, who is also terminally ill. Finding that they both reject to die either in hospital or at home, they steal a car and run away together.
Narcissu is a flower meaning "A Long Journey".

A Captured: Rejoice?

That untouchable figure is actually touchable.

A, a figure responsible for handling corruption cases, was interrogated for being a suspect on a killing N, a corruption suspect. Both of them are good friends since A has to deal with a corruption case in N's enterprise, and N gives his utmost support for A to do his job. But until two shots hit exactly in N's head and he passed away. A wasn't a suspect at first, until the police found out A's relevancy in the case. And he got a hold by the police.

A was a respected figure. Breaking out corruption accusations, capturing uncapturable corruptors, giving outrageous statements, not fearing of threats, A earned good deeds from the people and people had hopes for him to make the country into the right track. Especially for him being able processes those who couldn't before.

But aside from that, many people rejoiced for his capturation. Those from departements, who had their superiors captured after his accusations, delighted. And I don't know if they will have revenge now A is in their hand or not He's like an enemy to the world (well not really the world, just it's cool) now, from hero to zero.

What I confused is: is he good or bad?

Torrent? No Sweat!

Now torrenting is just as fun!

I saw some people screaming after sees they have to download from torrent. Yes, torrent is slow, at the start. And by my experience, torrent is one of the best way to share big files (I only prefer direct download from server when having a premium account). But if you seek a free way plus faster than using free service from servers, that's torrent.

So what to do to maximize your torrent speed? Here are my reccomendations:

1. Using bittorrent client
You can use download manager for downloading torrent, but I feel using bittorent client is better. My list:
- Best at uploading : uTorrent
- Best at leeching : BitLord
- Best interface : Vuze (formerly Azureus)
- My reccomendation: uTorrent

2. Keep your upload speed, see your download speed
Experimenting with your upload speed settings. See if your download speed gets better or not. Keep the optimal settings and your download will go fine. One of the principle:
Bigger Upload Speed = Bigger Download Speed
Quite right. But you should keep your upload speed so your download speed won't get hurt.

3. Max simultanous download tasks
Keep the number at not too high not too low. My preferences:
Download speed 384KB/s : 3 download tasks.
Download speed 512 KB/s : 5 download tasks.
Download speed 1.5 MB/s : 10 download tasks.

4. Use an available "Listen Port" or "DHT"
Enabling right setting of the both would increase your torrent speed. I still yet to experiment on this but I believe so.

5. Watch the number of seeds and peers
The much the seeds would help you completing the torrent, while the much the peers would help you on your speed. Meaning if there are no seeds, you'd never be able to complete the download (even if there are tons of peers) while if there are no peers, you'd still be able to complete the torrent but your speed would depend on the seeds uploading speed.

6. Be patient
As you start your torrent, your speed will be slow. Be patient! As peers begin to connect to you, you will get your real speed.

7. Seed as long as possible!
This is the must important one. After you completing your download, your client will go on seeding mode. In this mode you'll help other leechers completing their downloads. This will help the torrent being alive so future downloaders would be able to finish their download. You had been helped by seeders, so why not being one?

As why I prefer torrent over direct server download, it is because:
+ Torrent doesn't hurt server by downloading massively.
+ Torrent has constant speed.
+ It's a pain to download from split parts (of a big file).

Of course because I didn't play ^_^. Just take some feels from the warming up then sit patiently on the bench. Last score was 7-8 for SMK 3, and the team with better experience won the day.

Pretty much the game was stealing play, almost all the points were from it. And SMAGA played two innings when SMK 3 only three. SMAGA lost in experience and pitcher-catcher chemistry, but I believe SMAGA will triumph in the tournament in July.

PRIMBON NGERI AAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Hari itu adalah hari pertama kedatanganku di makassar...
malam itu semuanya terlihat biasa saja...
aku ingin tidur...
tapi genteng tempat tinggal itu terus berbunyi sehingga aku tidak bisa tidur...
kata adekku itu hanya suara tikus jadi biarkanlah semua berlalu...
tiba-tiba mbak yang ada di atas (tempatnya lantai 2) turun ke bawah dengan terburu-buru...
pontan saja aku terbangun dan menanyakan ada apa...
katanya di atas ada suara aneh dari kamar di sebelah kamarnya si mbak...
kami kaget soalnya kamar di sebelah kamarnya mbak adalah kamar kosong...
apalagi tempat yang kami tinggali hitung-hitung baru selesai dibangun...
lalu kami melapor ke satpam yang menjaga tempat itu...
katanya di daerah situ ada pencuri yang melarikan diri...
dan pencuri tersebut membawa senjata tajam...
lalu satpam tersebut memanggil polisi terdekat...
kami pun segera siap siaga...siap antar jaga...
si adek membawa baygon...
si mbak membawa wajan...
dan saya membawa ayam...lalu makan...kemudian mengambil stik bilyar...
atap masih terus berbunyi...
kami (saya, satpam, si mbak, dan adek) hanya bisa melototi tangga yang menuju ke atas...gak ada yang berani...
kemudian pak polisi datang...bawa pentungan...ia segera menuju ke tangga alternatif dan mencoba mengepung si pencuri...
merasa situasi aman terkendali untuk sang jabang bayi dibekuk...kami menghitung sampai tiga dan segera menuju ke atas...
ternyata sesampainya di atas tidak ada siapa-siapa...pak polisi hanya bisa melihat ruangan yang kosong...begitu juga pak satpam yang mengamati pak polisi...dengan pandangan mesra...
kami memeriksa jendela ke luar...ternyata terkunci rapat...tetapi ruangan tersebut berantakan...
saya pun turun dan tidur...meninggalkan semuanya yang terbengong sendirian...

(tiba-tiba muncul tulisan jalan dari kiri ke kanan) SEKIAN (koq kayak sinetron ya???)

Yang saya pusing sampe sekarang...kenapa adek bawa baygon...masa hantunya mo disemprot...trus mati kayak nyamuk???

Sequels have a way of staying the course. They'll try to expand on what made the first game popular, even if that comes without innovation. It's a game that is fun to play, even if it's just more of the same. The highly acclaimed sequel to Gears of War was one of the most anticipated titles of 2008. It was going to be bigger and better, a game that offered a better plot, better online play, just an all-around better game than the first. Somewhere along the way though, Epic managed to take all that was good about the original and curb stomp it down and out with a spiked boot. And what's new? Let's find out.

- New waepons
Ranging from shields, mortars, flamethrower, rail gun, and more. The originals also reappear here too, with some redesign or fixed shooting ability (ie. Lancer is now 550 bullets).

- Chainsaw battle
When you are going to chainsaw an enemy, a chainsaw battle will take place. Unfortunately, it's only about button mashings though.

- New online modes
Gears of War 2 has more online modes to its precedents. Like Horde Mode which will place you to fight waves of hordes with up to 5 players online. The highly touted Horde mode is an intense cooperative game pitting five players against 50 waves of increasingly difficult Locust enemies. While throughout the first 15 or so waves you may think it to be too easy, before you know it you'll be surrounded by the games most vicious enemies. Every 10 waves the Locust also get health and damage bonuses making things even more challenging. As long as one human player is alive at the end of each wave, everyone else will get to re-spawn at the beginning of the next.

- Execution System

Are you down! Don't worry, now in Gears of War 2 your teammates can revive you (unlike in the original Gears of War, which only co-op players can revive you). But in this situation, you could only crawl to safe place and waiting to be revived, because the enemy will try to execute you. Executions are variable, depending in button pressed and weapon. You can also be made as meatflag, making you as a shield for the enemy.

Gameplay 8/10
Okay, Gears of War 2 did some improvement here and there, but I still think Gears of War is better in some aspects. I still think Gears of War 2 is deferior in difficulty than Gears of War. The campaign mode are too easy to bear even in Insane difficulty, never to say the original which needed me to play co-op (at some stages). But the most disappointment is bosses fight, which is all about button mashing. I miss General RAAM and of course, our lovely Kyrll ^_^. But, the addition of weapons and online modes are good things.

Graphic 8.5/10
Gears of War 2 did improvements in graphic, especially in sceneries, which amazes me. The bullets fired from weapons also look detailed, plus the blood and gore, which made Gears of War famous for, been improved. Though objects in the game could get some attention as it just like some dead objects (nothing happens even if you shot at them). Also the characters could be better, I think.

Sound 9/10
Could get scream? Shouts? I liked them. They sound so realistic. And I also like Dom's emotional voice when find out they lost their source of information about his wife.

Personal Opinion 10/10 --> 20/20 (x2)
So, what made me give this perfect score? Of course it's the replayability! 'till now, GoW2, has been the most game I replayed, 'couse it's fun! And also the almost impossible achievements (ie. killing 100.000 enemies), some of other courage me to keep playing this, and GoW2 is a good stress reliever.

GoW is a must have title for Shooting game lovers, especially for its addictive cover system. Should GoW supports more players in online mode, GoW could be a serious competitive for CoD or CS.

I remember my brother asked me about a review for シンフォニック＝レインlong time ago. I just reremember when I was browsing my Photobucket album and finding a wallpaper of it. Come to think, シンフォニック＝レイン is a solid title itself, but it's not getting enough fame (I think) that I want to introduce it to Galge gamers. An English translation is running for this so those who can't read Japanese could play the game, but for those who are not patient just read this review first and droll (just don't droll on your computer, it would broke ^_^). You can try the demo here or check the translation progress here.

シンフォニック＝レイン is a musical visual-novel adventure, meaning an ADV-VN hybrid with a musical game system integrated (pretty cool huh?). As the genre suggested, in this game you don't only reading novels, but also playing a rhythm game using musics you've unlocked. For those who have played VOS before would find this similiar, though harder (IMO because of the chain combo) gameplay. By registering at KOGADO's website, you could upload your scores and see if you do beat those *&)$&@* players with &(*&$*) scores. And did I tell you that you can add your own songs to be played?

Here's an overview of the story:
Symphonic Rain takes place in a fictional city ofI talian heritage named Piova where rain falls everyday. The locals there have adapted to this peculiar phenomenon, and carry on with their lives as if the rain was never there. No one uses umbrellas, nor rain coats. Chris, seventeen years old, is a Fortelle student of the famous Piova Communal School of Music. Separated from his childhood sweetheart Arietta when he left his home town for the city, he keeps in touch with her through weekly letters. Penning their thoughts on these letters, Chris treasures and keeps her weekly writings, for he had promised her that should his drawer become totally filled with them, he would return to her.

The story starts of Chris' third year in Piova Communal School of Music, which requires him partner up with a vocalist to be eligible for the examination test.

Now, into the casts. They are:

- Chris Velding (クリス・ヴェルティン)
Seventeen years old. He comes to the city with Tortinitta to attend the music school. A laid-back person, and not rarely being told weird because he often looks up to the sky, to the pouring rain. That made him only has Tortinitta and Asino as friends. Though so, his skill in Fortelle is exceptional.

- Tortinita Fine (トルティニタ・フィーネ)
Seventeen years old. Usually called by the nickname Toruta (トルタ）. An active girl and bright personality. Twin sister of Arietta. Has talent in singing but sucks in cooking, she is Chris' childhood friend. A third year Piova Musical School student, she has the option to give a solo performance for the graduation performance. Has feeling for Chris since childhood, ome people think she is more compatible with Chris, thus were suprised when Chris choose Arietta.

- Arietta Fine (アリエッタ・フィーネ)
Seventeen years old. Usually called by the nickname Arie (hahaha) (アルエ). Pretty much has contradictory personalitites to Tortinitta. Has talent in cooking but sucks in singing, she is Chris' childhood friend and the person Chris is going on with. Works in a bakery, she constantly writing a letter to Chris every week.

- Falsita Fawcett (ファルシータ・フォーセット)
Seventeen years old. Usually called by the nickname Fal (ファル）. The president of Piova Student Council. Popular and well liked by the academy because of her warm and gentle personality. Works part time at a restaurant.

- Liselsia Cesarini (リセルシア・チェザリーニ)
Fifteen years old. Usually called by the nickname Lisel (リセル）. She is the daughter of the famous Fortelle player Grave Cesarini and hence is constantly pressured by her father to follow in his footsteps. Actually has excellent singing, but ended up in Fortelle departement. Pressure given by his father made her develop a shy and reclusive personality. She secretly praticed her singing in an abandoned building within Piova. My favorite character in the game.

- Phorni (フォーニ)
A fairy which declares herself as a musical fairy. No tall than 14 cm, but strangely can sing and speak at human volume. Met with Chris when Chris started to move in the dormitory. Other than Chris, no one can see, hear, nor touch her. Has excellent singing, and loves to sing. Always pester Chris to write back to Arietta ASAP, so she can atart singing with Chris.

And my marks for the game is...

Story 10/10
A solid story about a city that never stops raining. It was that premise got me hooked into playing, and Symphonic Rain did a good job in further developing the story whilst keeping the premise on surface. All routes are deep and has many suprises as you play through them. A story about love and lies, pain and happiness, sacrifice and gain, which will enthrall you.

Graphics 8.5/10
I could argue abour the resolution being 640x480 when almost all games using 800x600, but that doesn't matter much. Using watercolours for background coloring, posing a unique impressions for me. The characters are well designed too. Each characters had eye-motions, bringing life to them.

Sound 10/10
All characters are voiced, even Chris (the main character, voiced in Al Fine scenario). Notably about this game is the vocals, sung by famous artist, and live up to the hype. The BGMs also memorable.

Personal Opinion 9/10 --> 18/20 (x2)
It's a shame that each characters story don't has connection to each other. Though so, I like how the characters got decent development on their characters throughout the story. Sometimes, you'd want to play just to see that development. Lack of humour does hit Symphonic Rain a little, but a memorable story and outstanding musics make it up for that.

Overall 47.5/60 (95%)
Symohonic Rain is another masterpiece in Galge's history. Suprising elements in Symphonic Rain were really suprising, in good way, making you keep interested in the story. Some characters might end up getting on your good side or bad side. Definitely on my list of the best 恋愛 games I've ever played.

About the story...(SPOILER WARNING)
Actually I prefer not to write about the grand story. This contains major spoiler about the game thus those who want to enjoy Symphonic Rain to the fullest shouldn't read it. DON'T READ IT BECAUSE YOU'LL MISS A LOT FROM THIS GREAT TITLE. My brother asked me to write about it (since he has played it, but still couldn't understand about the story). This is for those who had played but missed some details on the story, so here I go.

And that's all! Story is taken from the (arguably) alpha heroine, Tortinitta Fine. Phorni's stories does have some connection to the main story but I'll left it for now.

Some trivia about Symphonic Rain:

- The Piova Musical School is actually a reference to a school of the same name in Italy.
- The director for this game, Ritsuko Okazaki, passed away just after this game is released. Some of her fans considered one of the songs in this game (Ritsuko composed every bit music in the game, from BGMs to songs), I'm Always Close to You, as her last words for her fans.
- Symphonic Rain made it to on of the top 恋愛 games of 2004.

Perjuangan kita telah berakhir!

Kelas XI IA 9 kalah dari XI IA 10 melalui adu pinalti 2-0 setelah bermain imbang 1-1. Dan akhirnya mengakhiri perjalanan fenomenal (wakakaka) XI IA 9 yang berhasil lolos dari lubang jarum grup A Ligasha. Meskipun kalah, wa nganggep pertandingan tadi sebagai pertandingan terbaik. Nih formasinya:
